A production grade (all steel) installation tool. Nickel plated and designed for thousands of installations.

STI Tap

HSS STI tap (2B/6H) to cut the correct thread profile required to accept the insert.

Tangless inserts

30 aerospace quality free-running inserts, 10 each in three (1D, 1.5D and 2D) nominal lengths. All KATO Tangless inserts are manufactured and certified to NAS1130 (unified sizes) or NA0276 (metric sizes).

KATO Pro-Kits are true professional grade Tangless kits, Helicoil are tang kits. Tangless inserts are identical in form, fit and function to the conventional tanged inserts. However, the tooling and inserts are not interchangable with Helicoil tang kits.
